Description

METRON GL 5 is a hypoid gear oil for mechanical gears based on high-quality, solvent refining basic oils.

METRON GL 5 multi-purpose gear oil: To avoid seasonal change of gear oil METRON GL 5 multi-purpose gear oil is available with the viscosity categorie SAE 80W/90 and thus can be applied in winter as well as in summer. The universal application of METRON GL 5 reduces the risk of confusion and simplifies stockkeeping. The balanced combination of additives guarantees properties like high pressure susceptibility, exceptional good viscosity-temperature behaviour. High oxidation stability, low pour point, good wear protection and avoids black sludge formation.

Disposal

• METRON GL 5 is assigned to category 2 of used oils and thus is free for disposal. 

Miscibility

• METRON GL 5 gear oil of hypoid range is fully tolerated with comparable lubrications and can be mixed. However, it is recommended to take only METRON GL 5 when refilling.
