Description
MPG TRIGARD is an environmentally friendly full concentrate coolant based on propylene glycol (MPG) for use in cooling circuits of combustion engines for summer and winter operation with frost and rust protection effect (year‑round use). MPG TRIGARD contains high‑quality corrosion additives and is characterized by optimal corrosion protection for all metals and metal alloys used in the cooling system, including aluminum. MPG TRIGARD is free of nitrites, amines, phosphates, borates, silicates and contains no other mineral additives. It is also free of 2‑ethylhexanoic acid. MPG TRIGARD is also well suited for non‑automotive applications such as solar panels and industrial heat transfer systems.

Use
MPG TRIGARD can be used in cooling systems with all‑aluminum engines (follow manufacturer's instructions).
The patented silicate‑free carboxylate technology enables long‑term protection for all materials used in engines, especially for aluminum and iron alloys.
Recommended application concentration 50% MPG TRIGARD and 50% water, achieving frost protection down to ‑37°C.
MPG TRIGARD is a long life coolant and can be used for lifetime filling in vehicles.
Duration of use:
Commercial vehicles up to 650,000 km (approx. 8,000 hours)
Cars up to 250,000 km (approx. 2,000 hours)
Stationary engines up to 32,000 hours (or 6 years)
It is recommended to change the coolant at least every 5 years or when the stated service life has been reached.

Miscibility
MPG TRIGARD is miscible with most ethylene glycol‑based coolants. For optimum corrosion protection and to prevent sludge formation, unmixed use is recommended. MPG TRIGARD is formulated to cope with different water qualities and is compatible with hard water. MPG TRIGARD is fully miscible with other coolants. To ensure the full performance of MPG TRIGARD , we recommend flushing the cooling circuit with diluted MPG TRIGARD before refilling. Otherwise, the performance and longevity of the product could be significantly impaired.
