Antifreeze K 12 is a fully concentrated coolant and heat transfer agent based on 1,2‑ethanediol (monoethylene glycol) for summer and winter operation with frost and rust protection effect (year‑round use). Antifreeze K 12 , the further developed radiator protection and heat transfer agent with high‑quality corrosion additives for the engine and cooling system, meets the current requirements in the development of engine construction. Antifreeze K 12 is free of nitrite, amine, phosphate and silicate.

Use
Antifreeze K 12 is excellent for engines made of cast iron, aluminum or a combination of both metals and for use in cooling systems made of aluminum or copper alloys.
Antifreeze K 12 is particularly recommended for light alloy engines where special aluminum protection is required at higher temperatures.
Recommended use concentration 50% Antifreeze K 12 and 50% water, achieving frost protection down to ‑37°C. With a maximum of 69% Antifreeze K 12 and 31% water, frost protection down to ‑69°C is possible. Depending on the type and manufacturer, it is recommended to change the coolant after 3 to 6 years.
Can be used in hybrid vehicles and battery‑powered electric vehicles provided there are no requirements for electrical conductivity.
Manufacturer instructions must always be observed.
Miscibility
Antifreeze K 12 is miscible with most ethylene glycol based coolants. For optimum corrosion protection and to prevent sludge formation, the unmixed use of Antifreeze K 12 recommended. Softened water should preferably be used to prepare mixtures.
