Description

CALICON ZH78 ECO is a HC‑synthetic high‑performance low‑friction gear oil for manual transmissions with reduced cold viscosity for optimized transmission efficiency and cold start behavior. Due to its modern HC synthetic base, it provides effective noise reduction and remains extremely shear‑stable (stay‑in‑grade) under all operating conditions. It is particularly recommended for BMW, Mercedes‑Benz, and VW passenger cars.

Utilization

CALICON ZH78 ECO is suitable for transaxle systems, manual transmissions, transfer cases, and axles that require a gear oil according to API GL‑4. It should not be used if API GL‑5 is required. VW: according to part number G 052 171 in dry dual‑clutch transmissions. VW Group: suitable for use in all 5‑ and 6‑speed manual transmissions.

Disposal

CALICON ZH78 ECO is classified as waste oil category 2 and is therefore safe for disposal.

Miscibility

CALICON ZH78 ECO is fully compatible with comparable lubricants and can be safely mixed. However, to fully benefit from the advantages of CALICON ZH78 ECO , it is recommended not to mix it with conventional hypoid gear oils.
