DENVER 1G2 This oil was specifically developed for the modern generation of downsized engines. The special combination of base oils and additives significantly reduces low‑speed pre‑ignition (LSPI). LSPI occurs when the air‑fuel mixture in the combustion chamber ignites spontaneously before the spark plug fires. This can lead to engine knocking and, consequently, serious engine damage. This engine oil was developed specifically to address the LSPI issue and is prescribed by Opel and General Motors for certain models. DENVER 1G2 This engine oil meets the new and stricter General Motors Dexos 1 Generation 2 specification. This engine oil is designed exclusively for gasoline engines. DENVER 1G2 is not suitable for diesel engines.
